Brisbane City Council Artificial Habitat Assessment Projects
It is critically important that existing natural habitat features such as tree hollows and artificial habitat features such as nest boxes are preserved and integrated into development of any habitat project. With the help and guidance of your Council Community Conservation Partnerships Program liaison officer, this project will map the locations of existing, or newly installed, artificial habitat features (nest boxes, glider poles, coarse woody debris) on specific sites across Brisbane. It will also include monitoring of all habitat features to determine species use and to ensure any maintenance is undertaken on these assets in accordance with Council's Operating Procedures - EP020.
