TF5.3 Erosion and sediment control capacity building and urban stormwater quality management
This project builds on previous work in the Great Barrier Reef catchment to improve the capacity of local governments, natural resource managers and industry to achieve their obligations to minimise pollutant impacts and create greater value in urban developments for the community.
The project focuses on erosion and sediment control, and urban storm water capacity building for local government and industry in reef catchments through:
• in room and online training;
• on-ground field days and demonstration sites;
• improved science, technical, policy, legislation and guidelines; and
• a strong partnership with Local Governments and industry.
